LG Electronics’ global FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) service, LG Channel, is making its debut in the Middle East.
On December 2, LG Electronics announced that it will begin rolling out LG Channel in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting this month. Following its expansion into Asia, North America, Europe, and Central and South America, the company is now establishing a content hub in the Middle East, further strengthening its presence in key global markets. In addition, LG Channel is also launching in Taiwan, increasing the total number of countries served to 36.
In the UAE, LG Channel will offer a wide range of popular content, including region-focused channels such as Lovin Dubai, which provides local news and lifestyle content, and WATCH IT, an Arabic streaming service. The platform will also feature global news channels like Bloomberg Television and Euronews, as well as a broad selection of genres including sports, entertainment, movies, kids, and documentaries.

Ahead of the official channel launch, LG Electronics participated in the "2025 K-Expo UAE: All about K-style" event, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency in Dubai last month, where it promoted LG Channel to local viewers through a special event.
Additionally, LG Channel is introducing a newly designed interface tailored for Arabic-speaking viewers who read text from right to left. The service provides regionally customized features by carefully considering the viewing environments of each country and region, ensuring that content aligns with the culture, language, and viewing habits of global customers.
In Taiwan, LG Channel has partnered with the popular local OTT platform ofiii to offer a diverse array of content, including leading terrestrial channels CTV and CTS, real-time economic news via SET iNews, popular movies through LTV, the long-running Taiwanese variety show Genius Go Go Go (天才衝衝衝), and children’s cartoons on LTV Cartoons.
The platform will also introduce a strong lineup of K-content in Taiwan, such as sports and music channels like KLPGA and @K-Music, as well as a dedicated channel for the hit Korean drama "Good Partner (好搭?)". LG Channel aims to boost satisfaction among Taiwanese viewers who are enthusiastic about K-content and to continuously strengthen the competitiveness of K-content in the Taiwanese market.
Launched in 2015, LG Channel is the flagship content service of LG Electronics’ proprietary smart TV platform, webOS, delivering content tailored to the preferences of each country and region through more than 4,000 channels. TVs equipped with webOS have recently surpassed 260 million units globally.
Alongside O&O (Own and Operation) channels, where LG Electronics directly acquires and curates content, the platform also features original productions such as "The Rivalries," a documentary highlighting college sports rivalries in the United States, and "House of Survival," a reality entertainment program showcasing the differentiated customer experience and convenience of AI-powered home appliances.
