Gangseo-gu Recruiting Companies for '2026 Korea Business Expo Gangseo'
Applications Open for 50 Companies Until December 15
Event to Be Held at COEX Magok in March Next Year
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Kyohun) is recruiting approximately 50 local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the '2026 Korea Business Expo Gangseo' exhibition and export consultation event, which will be held at COEX Magok (143 Magokjungang-ro) in March next year. Applications will be accepted until December 15.
This recruitment aims to provide local companies with one-on-one consultation opportunities with overseas buyers, helping them to develop overseas sales channels and achieve tangible export results. It is a core project of Gangseo-gu's global economic city strategy.
Jointly hosted by the World-OKTA (World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations) and the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), the event will take place over four days from March 30 to April 2 next year. Approximately 3,000 participants-including Korean businesspeople from over 70 countries, domestic SMEs, and overseas buyers-are expected to attend, making it the largest global business event in Korea.
The exhibition and export consultation, which is the main program of the event, will be held on the first floor of COEX Magok from March 31 to April 1. Around 320 domestic companies and over 1,000 overseas buyers will engage in direct export consultations and business matching.
Gangseo-gu will select approximately 50 local companies, while the Seoul Business Agency will select another 50 companies from the Seoul area, and the World-OKTA will select about 200 companies from other regions.
Eligible applicants are SMEs with headquarters, research centers, or other business facilities located in Gangseo-gu. Any company with export potential, regardless of product category, may apply. Applications can be submitted online via the Seoul Business Agency’s portal from December 1 to 15. Final selections will be made following an initial review by Gangseo-gu and a comprehensive evaluation by the World-OKTA.
Selected companies will be provided with a free exhibition booth measuring 3m x 3m, as well as effective export support services such as one-on-one consultations with overseas buyers, interpretation support, and the production of a promotional directory book.
The district expects the event to have a broad impact on the local economy, including building Gangseo-gu’s brand as a hub city for overseas markets, strengthening SMEs’ global competitiveness, revitalizing local consumption and tourism, and expanding the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry ecosystem.

Jin Kyohun, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, stated, “Although companies in Gangseo-gu possess excellent technological capabilities, they have faced difficulties in growth due to insufficient overseas expansion opportunities. This expo will serve as a turning point for Gangseo-gu to overcome these limitations and emerge as a global economic city.”
