Selected as a Participating Company
in the Autonomous Driving Sector of the "M.AX Alliance,"
a Public-Private Consultative Body Accelerating the AI Transition

Autonomous A2Z (hereafter referred to as A2Z) announced on December 2 that it has been selected as a participating company in the autonomous driving sector of the public-private consultative body "M.AX Alliance," which was launched by the government with the goal of accelerating the transition to AI.

The "M.AX Alliance" is a nationwide public-private consultative body organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aiming to accelerate the AI transformation of the domestic manufacturing industry. More than 1,000 companies, research institutes, and academic organizations are participating in the alliance.

The alliance is composed of a total of 10 sectors, including autonomous vehicles, with leading manufacturing companies and AI specialist firms in each sector jointly developing technologies and products. Through this initiative, the alliance aims to create more than 100 trillion won in added value by 2030.

The "AI Future Mobility Alliance" in the autonomous driving sector is tasked with building the ecosystem for future autonomous vehicles. The alliance is focusing on supplying software-defined vehicle (SDV) platforms by 2028 and mass-producing end-to-end (E2E) autonomous driving technologies by 2030.

Hyundai Motor Company, HL Mando, Hyundai Mobis, and LG Electronics are participating as anchor companies, while AI technology companies such as A2Z are also contributing. Leveraging its global technological capabilities across the entire spectrum of autonomous driving-including software, hardware, infrastructure, and control-A2Z is expected to play a pivotal role in achieving the alliance's goals.

A2Z has accumulated extensive experience by operating autonomous vehicles on urban and public roads in Korea, with the largest fleet in the country-62 autonomous vehicles-and a record of more than 740,000 kilometers in cumulative domestic driving distance. Based on this experience, A2Z deployed its self-developed Level 4 autonomous vehicle "ROii" at the APEC 2025 site and is expanding its technological reach to global markets such as Singapore, the UAE, and Japan.

Building on its domestic and international operational experience, A2Z aims not only to develop software but also to focus on vehicle production, contributing to the transition to AI-powered future vehicles and the commercialization of autonomous driving.

Han Ji-hyung, CEO of A2Z, stated, "Autonomous driving is a representative field of manufacturing AX, where software technology and vehicles are organically connected and realized on actual roads. As a leading company in K-autonomous driving, Autonomous A2Z will continue to develop technology in cooperation with the government and research institutes, serving as a stepping stone for Korea to become a powerhouse in future mobility."
