"A Fierce Life and Hope"... Book Launch Event by Former Council Member Jin Seonki
Over 3,000 Gather at Dongmyeong Church in Gwangju
Jin Seonki, former Gwangju City Council member who is preparing to run for mayor of Dong-gu, Gwangju in next year's local elections, announced on December 1 that he has published a book titled "A Fierce Life and Hope" and held a commemorative event.
The book launch event, held on November 29 at Dongmyeong Church in Gwangju, was attended by over 3,000 people, including Song Younggil, former leader of the Democratic Party, Assemblyman Ahn Dogeol, political figures from various regions, representatives of civic groups, Jin Seonki (Chief of Economic Policy Advisors for Lee Jaemyung, 21st Presidential Candidate), and local residents.
"A Fierce Life and Hope" tells the story of Jin Seonki, who has lived fiercely without losing hope. The former council member shares how, as a high school student, he started his days delivering newspapers at dawn and never let go of hope, as well as his experiences building a business and overcoming numerous crises, delivering the message that "hope is the strongest driving force."
Jin stated, "A leader is someone who gives hope. With the passion of 'Bul Gwang Bul Geup' (No Light, No Achievement), I will repay you through action and results," adding, "Like roots that do not waver in the smallest breeze, I will steadfastly move toward becoming the 'hope of Dong-gu.'"
