In Danwon-gu, Gojan-dong, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi Province, Ansan Culture Plaza will present winter nights adorned with splendid lights for two months.
On December 1, the city of Ansan announced that the winter night festival, “2025 Ansan Winter Land of Lights,” will open on December 7 at the Ansan Culture Plaza area.
This festival, which will run for nearly two months until January 31 next year, will transform approximately a 1-kilometer stretch from the “Water Plaza” to the “Gallery Plaza” within Ansan Culture Plaza with illuminated installations and a variety of photo zones.
The festival will begin with a lighting ceremony at 4:50 p.m. on December 7 at the Sunken Plaza of Ansan Culture Plaza. The opening ceremony will feature a pre-show by the Ansan City Choir, a lighting performance, and performances by singer Horim and the Hot Circus Artnable. On the same day, the official festival Instagram will host an event where the first 900 followers will receive steamed buns.
During the festival, a variety of side events will also take place, including a carousel, hands-on programs, special performances, a snow show, a wish box, and floor curling. The plaza will also feature a light installation commemorating the 40th anniversary of Ansan’s elevation to city status.
The city plans to strengthen facility inspections and on-site patrols during the festival period to ensure the event proceeds safely. More detailed information about the festival can be found on the official websites and social media channels of Ansan City Hall and the Ansan Foundation for Culture.
