Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyungdeok) announced on December 1 that it will begin construction of the 'Wangbang Valley Forest Trail Project' to create a distinctive forest path utilizing the natural scenery of Tapdong-dong.

View original imageThe Wangbang Valley Forest Trail Project is being promoted to revitalize the local economy and expand tourism infrastructure. The total project cost is 7.5 billion won, including 6 billion won in national funding, and the project aims for completion in December 2026.
The construction will cover a 3.6-kilometer section from Tapdonggyo Bridge to the Third Sewolg Bridge (Saemteo Farm), and will include: ▲ creating a forest trail in harmony with nature ▲ installing rest areas as key hubs ▲ expanding safety facilities along the trail. The goal is to develop a walking-type forest trail that allows visitors to experience nature up close.
