OB Beer announced on December 1 that it has donated a total of 200 million won to preserve Jeju's haenyeo culture and natural heritage, and has newly renovated the 'Gwakji-ri Haenyeo Changing Room' in Aewol-eup, Jeju City.
OB Beer held a completion ceremony on the 28th for the remodeling of the ‘Gwakji Haenyeo Changing Room’ in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, and took a commemorative photo with haenyeo divers and local residents in front of the Gwakji Haenyeo Changing Room.

The haenyeo changing rooms are essential facilities supporting the traditional fishing activities of haenyeo divers, but many of these facilities have become outdated, leading to ongoing calls for improvements. This remodeling project was carried out to enhance the sustainability of haenyeo culture and to protect the traditional fishing heritage of the local community.
Koo Jabeom, Senior Executive Vice President of OB Beer, stated, "We hope the newly established haenyeo changing room will help ensure the safety and comfort of the haenyeo divers in their activities," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our cooperation with the local community and related organizations to support the preservation of Jeju's haenyeo culture and the sustainable conservation of its natural heritage."
