They engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the dedicated functions and scale of the specialized performance venue.
This session served as a crucial moment for determining the core direction of the project, based on the basic concepts and analyses that reflected the results of a citizen survey conducted after the initial briefing. Key topics included reviewing dedicated uses for the specialized venue-such as musicals, popular music, and classical performances-and conducting comparative evaluations of seating capacity and venue composition plans.
Paju City expects that, with the opening of the GTX-A Unjeongjungang Station improving regional accessibility and the rapid population growth in Unjeong New Town, the new specialized performance venue will address local cultural demand and become a key infrastructure to enhance the city’s cultural competitiveness.
Based on the discussions from this second briefing session, the city plans to further refine detailed spatial planning, feasibility analysis, operational models, and funding strategies to develop a highly feasible basic plan. Paju City will actively pursue the creation of a "Cultural Performance Complex" that is well-suited for the era of GTX.
