Jeonju University held a "Warm Winter Quilt Sharing Event" for international students on the 27th.
According to Jeonju University on the 28th, this event was organized to help international students spend the winter healthily and warmly amid the sudden drop in temperature. The university provided premium winter quilts and words of encouragement to more than 20 international students.

View original imageThis sharing activity was part of the "2025 Credit Union Onsesang Sharing Campaign" and was supported by the Jeonju University Credit Union (Chairman Song Taejin).
Song Taejin, Chairman of the Jeonju University Credit Union, said, "International students who continue their studies in a foreign country are valuable members of our community and university, as well as future talents. Every winter, we share warmth to help ease some of the economic and emotional difficulties they experience."
He added, "Going forward, the credit union will continue to expand its support beyond simply providing goods, so that the region and university together can play a mentoring role and help international students successfully settle in."
Munkhzhaya, an international student from Mongolia who participated in the event and is enrolled in the Korean language program, said, "This is my first winter in Korea, so I was worried about the cold because I wasn't fully prepared. I was deeply moved to receive such a warm, thick quilt and various gifts. Thanks to the warm interest from the school and local community, I think I will be able to focus on my studies with peace of mind this winter."

Meanwhile, the Jeonju University Office of International Affairs operates a variety of support programs throughout the year to help international students settle stably in the local community, including Korean cultural experiences, the JJ-International Buddy Program, host family opportunities, Korean language proficiency training, community-linked cultural classes, and customized employment linkage programs.
In addition, the university is continuously working to expand scholarships for international students and improve the quality of living support services through cooperation with local businesses and organizations.
