Songpa District Wins 'SNS of the Year' Blog Grand Prize and Instagram Excellence Award
Songpa District in Seoul (District Mayor Seo Kangseok) announced on the 28th that it received the 'Grand Prize' in the blog category and the 'Excellence Award' in the Instagram category for the basic local government division at the 11th 'SNS of the Year' awards ceremony held at the Korea Press Center on the 26th.

View original image'SNS of the Year' is a competition that evaluates and awards the use of social media such as blogs, Instagram, and YouTube by public institutions and companies nationwide. It is hosted and organized by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and the Parliamentary Policy Academy, with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT. The Songpa District blog won the Grand Prize for two consecutive years among basic local governments, following user voting and expert review.
The Songpa District blog boasts the highest activation figures among Seoul's 25 districts, with 50,000 neighbors and a cumulative 18.5 million visitors. Over 30 members of the 'blog reporting team' produce more than 500 planned content pieces annually, delivering information on cultural and artistic events, policies, and daily life. This year, English content was also introduced.
On Instagram, Songpa District strengthens communication with residents through photo collections featuring Songpa's culture and scenery, Reels introducing popular spots and attractions, and tag events. The district currently operates seven channels, including the blog, YouTube, Instagram, and KakaoTalk.
Seo Kangseok, Mayor of Songpa District, stated, "The official SNS channels of Songpa District provide cultural and lifestyle information that meets the diverse interests of our 650,000 residents and serve as effective communication platforms. We will continue to do our best to ensure that residents can access district news in a friendly and effective way, from trendy content that attracts the attention of Millennials & Gen Z to various practical information for daily life."
