Daejeon Technopark Signs Agreement to Support Growth of the Intelligent IoT (AIoT) Industry
Business Agreement Signed with the Korea Intelligent IoT Association
A business agreement has been signed to support the growth of the intelligent Internet of Things (AIoT) industry, which integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), in order to strengthen the technological competitiveness of companies in Daejeon.
Daejeon Technopark and the Korea Intelligent IoT Association signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the '2025 AIoT International Exhibition' held at COEX on the 26th, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of the AIoT industry and support the growth of local companies.
During the signing ceremony, the two organizations shared their strategic initiatives and future directions for cooperation. They agreed to establish a multifaceted collaborative system focused on the AIoT sector, including technological advancement and the development of demonstration-based infrastructure for promising companies in the Daejeon region.
Accordingly, the two organizations plan to closely collaborate on: ▲joint implementation of support programs for Daejeon-based companies ▲support for demonstration projects and use of testbeds ▲development of practical training programs and expansion of information exchange activities ▲joint planning of AIoT industry policy proposals, public project applications, and industrial network building ▲strengthening the foundation for data collection, sharing, utilization, and standardization ▲identification and promotion of best practices.
Daejeon Technopark expects that, through this agreement with the IoT Association-which has led the convergence of technology and services, ecosystem development, talent cultivation, and overseas expansion in the AIoT industry-the technological advancement, field application, and market entry of AIoT companies in Daejeon will accelerate even further.
Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon Technopark, stated, "AIoT is a core foundation of digital innovation and a technology with infinite market scalability, making it a crucial field for shaping the future of local industries. Through this agreement, we will actively support the enhancement of AIoT innovation capabilities among Daejeon companies and the expansion of demonstration-based infrastructure, thereby further solidifying Daejeon's industrial competitiveness as a leading economic city."

Meanwhile, prior to the signing, Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon Technopark, visited the exhibition booths of four Daejeon-based AIoT companies-Sure Data Lab, FS, Lee Hyun Information Technology, and PiChips-to review their technology displays and business progress, and to gather on-site feedback for tailored support.
