View original imageAt the event, Governor Kim Myunggi announced the scale of the proposed 2026 general and special account revenue and expenditure budget, six core priorities, and major projects, emphasizing that the highest priority will be placed on future industries as new growth engines, the recovery of the local economy, and inclusive welfare.
The 2026 Hoengseong County budget totals 677.8 billion won, an increase of 12.7% compared to 601.4 billion won in 2025. The general account budget is 604.5 billion won, up 11.1%, and the special account budget is 73.3 billion won, up 28.3%, marking the largest budget ever for the county.
For 2026, Hoengseong County will pursue six core priorities: completion of the future automobile cluster, customized support to address local extinction, people-centered inclusive welfare, expanded support for the agricultural and livestock bioindustry, becoming a city where culture and tourism thrive year-round, and creating a safe and comfortable Hoengseong.
