The case presentations covered a variety of occupational safety and health topics, including risk assessments, musculoskeletal hazard investigations, workplace environment measurements, and heat illness prevention activities, all implemented by each office from the second half of last year to the first half of this year. A Q&A session followed the presentations.
Gimje Post Office received the Grand Prize for presenting cases such as "Promoting Zero Accidents Through Data Utilization."
The Excellence Awards went to the Central Region Mail Logistics Center, Jeju Post Office, and Wando Post Office. In addition, eight post offices, including Yangyang Post Office, received Encouragement Awards at the contest.
The outstanding cases will be compiled into booklets and educational videos, which will be used to strengthen the safety capabilities of all employees.
Korea Post Headquarters plans to continue encouraging field-oriented, voluntary safety activities under the management policy of "Safety and Health Together! A Renewed Korea Post Workplace!" with the goal of "Zero Major Accidents! 10% Reduction in Safety Accidents" to ensure the safety and health of its employees.
In particular, to ensure the safety of employees during winter, a "Winter Safety and Health Special Management Period" will be implemented until February next year.
