Yeongdeungpo District Newsletter Drives Resident Engagement and Participation with Enhanced Content
94% of Residents Find Newsletter Informative, Survey Shows
On November 26, Yeongdeungpo District in Seoul (Mayor Choi Hogwon) announced that its monthly district newsletter, "Yeongdeungpo News," published on the 25th of each month, has significantly increased residents' engagement and participation this year by introducing new content and enhancing information accessibility. The district newsletter is recognized as the most effective promotional medium, excelling in accessibility, convenience, recognition, and readability, and serves as a comprehensive information source containing essential information for residents.

Additionally, the circulation increased from 90,000 to 145,000 copies, which are distributed to densely populated residential areas such as apartments and multi-family housing, thereby addressing the issue of information disparity.
These innovations have led to more active communication with residents, resulting in approximately 1,800 participants each month in interactive sections such as birth celebrations, photo contests, and reader quizzes-a roughly 450% increase compared to the previous year. In a satisfaction survey conducted last October, 94% of the 2,300 respondents stated that the newsletter was helpful in obtaining district information, with various special features drawing broad interest.
