The Cheongsong County Agricultural Technology Center received high marks for its various initiatives aimed at "achieving abundant harvests by overcoming agricultural disasters and pests," including: providing technical support to prevent fruit tree frost damage in response to climate change; operating an on-site technical support team for summer agricultural disaster prevention; running a monitoring and control team for fire blight in fruit trees and supplying preventive pesticides in advance; and offering detailed monitoring and pesticide support for sudden pest outbreaks.
In particular, projects launched this March to support farmers struggling with farming activities due to large-scale wildfires-such as the apple fruit stabilization project in wildfire-affected areas and the operation of a farming support team for wildfire-affected farmers-drew attention and led to the center winning the Excellence Award in the institutional category.
