Yangpyeong County Wins Excellence Award in Customized Elderly Care Service Local Government Evaluation
Selected as an Excellent Local Government Among 229 Municipalities
Received Minister of Health and Welfare Award and Prize Money of 4 Million Won
Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jinseon) announced on November 25 that it received the Excellence Award (Minister of Health and Welfare Award) in the "2025 Customized Elderly Care Service Local Government Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare on November 24, ranking among 229 cities, counties, and districts nationwide.
This evaluation comprehensively assessed local governments across the country based on several criteria: efforts in operational management such as expanding customized elderly care services for recipients and staff and budget allocation; the level of service management, including the operation of networks with related organizations and case management councils to establish a preventive care system; the validity of project plans and implementation performance; and overall project management, including the operation of implementing agencies and personnel.
Yangpyeong County was recognized as one of the five local governments to receive the Excellence Award, along with two Grand Prize winners and one Top Award recipient, highlighting the excellence and systematic nature of the county’s local care policies.
Jeon Jinseon, Governor of Yangpyeong County, stated, "Winning the Excellence Award is the result of our continued efforts to improve the quality of care services and strengthen the local care system in Yangpyeong County. We will further solidify our customized care system so that seniors can enjoy safer and healthier lives."
