The outcome of the competition will be determined by driving strategies and tire performance, especially in the high-speed sections that cross vast deserts and the rough terrain mixed with sharp rocky areas. To maintain a stable race in these unpredictable conditions-characterized by large temperature fluctuations, sandstorms, and localized weather-tire grip and heat resistance are essential.
During the rally, Hankook Tire will support the event by supplying its extreme all-terrain rally tire, the “Dynapro R213,” which is highly effective on unpaved surfaces. Offered in both hard and soft compound versions, this product features a high-strength casing and a precisely designed tread pattern, providing stable grip and immediate steering response even at high speeds.
Additionally, it effectively absorbs shocks from rough gravel surfaces and minimizes heat generation and wear, ensuring stable performance throughout all stages of the rally.
The “Dynapro R213” has already demonstrated its global top-tier technology by supporting drivers’ successful finishes with outstanding durability and driving stability in previous Mediterranean events in Portugal, Italy, and Greece.
In the 13th round, the “Japan Rally,” Sebastien Ogier of the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team claimed victory and is now in a fierce battle for the championship, trailing his teammate Elfyn Evans-who leads with 272 points-by just three points. The final driver championship title will be decided at this Saudi Arabia Rally.
