Ten students from the National Pukyong University GTEP Project Team worked in collaboration with the Busan branch of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) to provide comprehensive support for booth operations of six consumer goods and food companies from the Busan area, as well as three individual participating companies.
At the event, they supported over 350 buyer consultations through interpretation and translation, and secured more than 90 follow-up meetings with buyers, enabling real-time networking even after the expo ended.
In particular, the students operated a K-beauty experience zone and ran a VR-based product demonstration program, which received an enthusiastic response from visitors. Alongside managing the booths, they also engaged in proactive marketing activities by directly reaching out to buyers.
Lee Dongjoo, a supervising professor from the Department of International Trade who guided the activities, said, “This was a valuable opportunity for students to experience the scale and significance of the Chinese market and to consider effective marketing strategies. I hope these efforts will lead to tangible export results for local companies.”
