The initiative aims to provide emotional stability and improve learning motivation and self-agency for children who have lost a parent or suffered severe aftereffects due to car accidents, and who experience economic loss and post-traumatic emotional distress as a result.
This mentoring program will run for six months starting from last month, providing AI utilization content to 20 elementary, middle, and high school students selected by KADA. The six-session online curriculum includes designing AI-based learning plans, training in effective questioning techniques, and coaching in debate and writing.
Additionally, the program offers mentoring such as career development assessments and career consulting based on individual learning styles.
Kang Jingu, Head of Management Support at Kumho Tire, said, "Kumho Tire is the first in Korea to lead a mentoring support project for children orphaned by car accidents. Over the past four years since 2021, more than 200 children and adolescents have benefited from this initiative. We are committed to planning and participating in social contribution activities that support the growth of future generations."
