The drill, held on November 20, involved 24 participants, including construction department staff, road maintenance workers, and contracted drivers. The program focused on practical training such as reviewing the snow removal manual, confirming snow removal sections, conducting trial runs, and providing pre-operation safety education. The city intensified the training to ensure that all participants thoroughly understand the necessary procedures before actual snow removal operations.
During the on-site inspection, the city checked the operational status of snow removal vehicles, the stockpile of deicing materials, and the functionality of equipment. Through trial runs on each route, habitual icy sections and areas prone to public complaints were identified in advance. Based on this data, the city plans to systematize the prioritization of tasks and equipment deployment strategies.
Through this drill, Yeongju City aims to strengthen its snow removal response system and situation management to a practical level, and to improve the efficiency of equipment and personnel operations, thereby minimizing citizen inconvenience and safety accidents during snowfall.
