The Korean Public Relations Association (President: Youngseok Cho) announced on the 24th that Vice President Youngkyu Lee was selected for this year's PR Person of the Year Award at the "2025 Korea PR Day" event held on the 21st. Vice President Lee oversees the Hyundai Motor Group Communication Center and has led the domestic and global PR strategies for the entire group, including Hyundai Motor Company and Kia. By effectively communicating the group's vision, core values, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies both internally and externally, he has made significant contributions to enhancing Hyundai Motor Group's brand image and credibility. His leadership has also played an important role in raising the level of expertise in Korea's PR sector and advancing the industry.
The Individual Merit/Public Service Award was presented to Sundong Lee, Chairman of the Korea Public Interest PR Volunteer Foundation. Chairman Lee has been actively involved in the media and PR fields for over 50 years, making major contributions to the expansion of PR organizations within Korean companies and elevating the status of PR professionals. Serving as president of the Korean Public Relations Association for more than 10 years, he was instrumental in the association's growth and the establishment of its systems. In 2022, he founded the Korea Public Interest PR Volunteer Foundation with the aim of "serving society through PR," and has continued to foster outstanding PR talent and engage in social contribution activities.

Since its founding in 2003, Enzyme Health, a leading Korean PR firm specializing in health and public communications, has built a high level of expertise in the healthcare and public sectors, including work with government agencies, local governments, and medical institutions. The company has been recognized for making PR ethics and professionalism its core values, sharing excess profits with employees, and expanding long-term partnerships with clients, thereby exemplifying a model of "solidifying the fundamentals of PR."
Special awards were also presented: Youngjun Lee, Head of the Global CSR Team at LG Chem, received the Public Interest PR Award; Hosang Ahn, President of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, was named the Unsung Hero; and Minseok Kim, Team Leader at Mastern Investment Management, received the Rising Star Award. Notably, Minseok Kim, who led the "Mastern Rebranding Project" and secured an Astrid Award, garnered significant attention within the industry.
At the Korea PR Awards ceremony, held on the same day, the Grand Prize went to GS Retail and Mingle Spoon for their project "Presenting the Model and Standard for Corporate Crisis Management Systems." A total of 35 entries were recognized with Grand Prize, Excellence, and Merit awards.
