Gwangju City Launches Campaign for the Week for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
November 25 to December 1
On November 21, Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province held a joint public-private-police campaign to prevent violence against women at the Sogwang Square of the Gyeongan-dong Administrative Welfare Center, in collaboration with the Gwangju Police Station, Domestic and Sexual Violence Counseling Center, and the Citizen Surveillance Group for Illegal Filming, in recognition of the "2025 Week for the Elimination of Violence Against Women" (November 25 to December 1).

At the event, interactive promotional booths, including slogan writing for the Week for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and OX quizzes, encouraged citizen participation and interest, contributing to raising awareness about the prevention of violence against women.
Mayor Bang Sehwan stated, "We will continue to ensure close cooperation among the public, private sector, and police to prevent violence against women and support victims in returning to their daily lives safely," adding, "We will make ongoing efforts to create a safe daily life free from violence against women and a Gwangju City that shines with respect."
