A total of 15 departments participated in this meeting, reporting on the progress of 44 infrastructure projects across all areas, including welfare, culture, sports, environment, tourism, and urban regeneration, and discussing ways to strengthen the implementation of plans. The city closely examined the progress rates of each project, the status of administrative procedures, and budget execution, thoroughly checking the overall pace of progress.
First, among the ongoing projects, the city plans to swiftly complete several lifestyle infrastructure projects that residents will directly benefit from, such as the 'Sokcho City Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled,' which is scheduled for completion this year, as well as the public postpartum care center and the English library. For next year, the city aims to complete projects such as the food culture complex and the expansion of the park golf course.
For projects that inevitably require a medium- to long-term approach, such as the renovation of old water supply pipelines (2026-2031), the childcare complex support center (2028), and the integrated education and sports center (2030), the city plans to establish thorough plans from the outset and ensure that all preliminary administrative procedures are carried out without omission. Through this, administrative resources will be focused to ensure that projects proceed according to the planned schedule without setbacks.
The city will accelerate project implementation according to each project's circumstances and will actively mobilize administrative resources for projects that require securing national or provincial funding or consultation with central government ministries. Since infrastructure construction is closely linked to the quality of life for citizens, the city is committed to ensuring the timely execution of these projects.
