"Cantavil The Edition" Unveils Model House as a Cultural Space Reflecting Brand Philosophy
Daewon Opens "Cantavil The Edition" in Bukbyeon 2 District, Gimpo on November 21
A Cultural Space Beyond a Simple Exhibit, Showcasing Brand Philosophy
Daewon Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Jeon Eungsik and Kim Dusik) officially began sales of "Cantavil The Edition," supplied to the Bukbyeon 2 District in Gimpo, by opening its model house on Friday, November 21. The product marketing strategy team at Daewon dedicated significant effort to the product composition, transforming the "Cantavil The Edition" model house itself into a high-end gallery. This new approach, which conveys the essence of home and the brand philosophy, is drawing considerable attention.
The newly unveiled "Cantavil The Edition" model house breaks away from the conventional format of standardized sales promotion centers. Instead of flashy decorations or exaggerated staging, the focus is on providing visitors with an emotional experience through a restrained design that modernizes traditional Korean elements such as "walls and courtyards."
At the entrance, visitors are greeted by "Capturing the Time of Architecture," a time-lapse photographic work by artist Lee Jaeyong, which elevates the construction process to an art form. This piece, which documents the Cantavil The First site in Osan over 865 days, visually demonstrates that a home is not merely a product but a living space built with time and dedication. The flow of the exhibition, which allows visitors to first experience the brand philosophy before viewing the site model and location highlights, reflects Daewon's sincerity toward the concept of home.
The core of this model house lies in its "highly refined floor plans." Daewon minimized the use of excessive display props, focusing instead on allowing customers to genuinely experience the structure and sense of space of an actual home.
The main 66-square-meter A type boasts an innovative layout, often referred to as "the magic of 2 pyeong." By placing a large alpha room the size of a bedroom next to the kitchen within a four-bay flat structure, it achieves a perceived area comparable to the 74-square-meter types offered by competitors. The spacious entryway pantry and U-shaped kitchen design maximize storage and traffic efficiency, while the bathrooms are finished with Marazzi, a renowned Italian luxury tile, adding a touch of elegance.
The 84-square-meter A type features a "family-customized design." Based on a standard four-bedroom layout, customers can choose from three configurations tailored to their lifestyle: a "premium kitchen type" with an expanded kitchen area, a "pet care room type" for pet owners, and another option. In particular, with Korea's pet-owning population now reaching 15 million, the separately displayed "pet care room" proposes a concrete vision for living with pets, complete with dedicated fixtures and furniture.
The top floor will feature 22 duplex penthouses ranging from 104 to 127 square meters of exclusive area. With flexible wall structures allowing for customizable spaces and expansive terraces, these rare units realize the dream of a "detached house in the sky." In addition, every household is provided with a private storage space, further expanding storage capacity.
"Cantavil The Edition" will consist of nine buildings with a total of 612 units, ranging from five basement levels to 24 floors above ground. Located in Gimpo, a non-regulated area offering premium advantages, the complex is within walking distance of the planned Seoul Subway Line 5 Gamjeong Station. Once the station opens, accessibility to central Seoul locations such as Yeouido, Gongdeok, and Gwanghwamun is expected to improve significantly.
A Daewon representative stated, "This model house was designed not as a space to sell apartments, but as a cultural venue to share Cantavil's philosophy of home. Rather than relying on flashy staging, we wanted customers to directly experience the completeness of the floor plans and the essence of the space, demonstrating our confidence in the product itself. The outstanding location, already well recognized, and the excellent product quality are both receiving positive feedback from customers."
Applications will be accepted through the Korea Real Estate Board's subscription platform, with special supply starting on Tuesday, December 2, followed by first-priority applications on Wednesday, December 3, and second-priority applications on Thursday, December 4. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 10, and contracts for successful applicants will be conducted from Monday, December 22 to Wednesday, December 24.
