Yangsan City Faces 'Municipal Report Card' Test... Holds Joint Evaluation Inspection Report Meeting on Key City-County Tasks
Third Inspection Follows May and August Reviews
Final Check Toward Achieving Outstanding Institution Status
Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province has begun its final round of inspections to assess the results of its municipal administration for this year.
On November 20, Yangsan City held the third "2026 (2025 Performance) Joint Evaluation and Inspection Report on Key Tasks for Cities and Counties" in the small conference room at City Hall, presided over by Vice Mayor Kim Shinho.
This report session was organized to conduct a final review of this year's progress ahead of the year-end performance confirmation, following the first inspection in May and the second in August.
The joint evaluation of key tasks for cities and counties is a system implemented by South Gyeongsang Province to comprehensively assess the performance of major national and provincial policies across 18 cities and counties within the province.
In the 2025 (2024 Performance) evaluation, Yangsan City was recognized as an outstanding institution, ranking first in quantitative assessment and third in qualitative assessment, and secured a financial incentive of 210 million won.
During the third report session, the heads of 12 departments in charge of each indicator attended to report on the status, progress, issues, and improvement plans for each indicator, focusing on quantitative indicators with poor performance as of the end of October and indicators not achieved in the previous year. The city also re-examined its strategy for exceeding the targets of weighted indicators, which are given additional weight in the calculation of quantitative assessment achievement rates, in preparation for the finalization of year-end performance.
Yangsan City plans to continue monitoring the progress of each indicator until the end of the year, swiftly address any underperformance factors, and concentrate its administrative capacity on achieving the goal of being selected as an outstanding institution for the second consecutive year. In addition, the city will periodically check the implementation status of each indicator before the evaluation to strengthen the stability of performance management by department.
