Sacheon City Selected as "Outstanding Institution Supporting National Health Insurance Premiums"
Recognized for Contributions to Improving Citizens' Health and Welfare
Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on November 20 that it had been selected as an "Outstanding Institution Supporting National Health Insurance Premiums" by the National Health Insurance Service, receiving an appreciation plaque in recognition of its contributions to improving citizens' health and welfare.
The appreciation plaque was presented at 10:30 a.m. that day in the office of the Sacheon mayor. Lee Sangbok, head of the Sacheon branch of the National Health Insurance Service, awarded the plaque on behalf of Jeong Ki-seok, president of the National Health Insurance Service headquarters.

View original imageThis award was given in high recognition of Sacheon City’s proactive support for health insurance premiums, which has contributed to guaranteeing citizens’ right to health and enhancing welfare.
In 2025, Sacheon City is allocating a budget of approximately 340 million won to support health insurance premiums for about 30,000 households.
The beneficiaries include local subscribers to the National Health Insurance Service residing in Sacheon City, specifically: households of senior citizens, households with persons with disabilities, and single-parent or child-headed households who pay monthly insurance premiums of 15,040 won or less.
