Passenger Ferry from Jeju to Mokpo Runs Aground... Mokpo Coast Guard Mobilizing All Resources
A passenger ferry traveling from Jeju to Mokpo ran aground near Jokdo in Jangsan-myeon, Sinan County, South Jeolla Province.
According to the Mokpo Coast Guard, at approximately 8:17 p.m. on November 19, a 26,000-ton-class passenger ferry en route from Jeju to Mokpo was reported to have run aground south of Jangsan Island in Sinan County, South Jeolla Province.
The ferry was reportedly carrying about 267 people, including 246 passengers and 21 crew members.
