View original imageJindo County in South Jeolla Province announced on November 19 that the "2025 Multicultural Family Unity Festival" was successfully held on the 15th. The festival aimed to enhance understanding of multicultural families and served as a venue for communication and harmony that transcended generations and nationalities.
The event was hosted by Jindo County and organized by the Jindo County Family Center, with approximately 350 multicultural family members and local residents participating. Attendees had the opportunity to experience a variety of cultural and traditional activities together, fostering mutual understanding of each other's cultures.
The stage program featured a family Nanta performance by mothers and children, traditional dances from the Philippines and Vietnam, and a flag parade by marriage migrant women from 12 different countries residing in the county, providing a diverse array of attractions.
During the commemorative ceremony, the county mayor awarded commendations to exemplary marriage immigrants and their spouses, as well as contributors who have dedicated themselves to the stable settlement of multicultural families in the community.
A county official stated, "We hope this will be a warm occasion to share empathy and respect for each other's cultures," adding, "We will continue to actively support multicultural families so they can take root and grow together in the local community."
