He said, "As Polaris Office and HandySoft worked together, we sought ways to create greater synergy and improve collaboration."
This event also marked the first public unveiling of the AI office and groupware integration strategy being pursued by Polaris Office and HandySoft. Polaris Group has acquired HandySoft, a company specializing in groupware solutions. HandySoft possesses a wide range of groupware solutions tailored for public institutions, including electronic approval, document management, and email. The company is a leading player in the domestic market, with over 1,300 public institutions and corporate clients.
On this day, Lee, who serves as both CEO of HandySoft and Head of Business at Polaris Office, delivered a keynote titled "The Future of Work: The AI-Integrated Work Ecosystem We Envision." He explained, "Polaris Office and HandySoft have always shared the same vision. Ultimately, it is about facilitating information delivery and enabling members of an organization to collaborate effectively."
He went on to emphasize that cloud and AI have become central to this vision. He stated, "In a cloud environment, anyone can communicate. As we saw during the COVID-19 pandemic, companies that had not established a cloud environment faced not just reduced productivity, but situations where they could not work at all, which led to significant business challenges."
He continued, "Now, we are moving toward an environment where people and AI work together. AI is increasingly integrated into processes such as approval in HandySoft and document editing in Polaris Office."
He also highlighted the strengths of Polaris Office and HandySoft in the public sector. He noted, "While general businesses can make decisions focused on efficiency, innovation in the public sector cannot rely on efficiency alone."
He added, "Security and reliability are essential, because the public sector deals with data, including citizens' information and highly sensitive personal details."
He also stressed the importance of transparency. "While companies aim for strong performance, the public sector must pass down records to future generations. We provide solutions that allow various public sector tasks and decisions to be recorded and managed," he explained.
