Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will recruit 2,710 participants for the '2026 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project' over three days from December 8 to December 10.

View original imageThis project aims to support increased income and social participation for seniors, with a total investment of 11.7 billion won. The recruitment scale has increased by 100 people compared to the previous year.
Eligible participants are seniors aged 65 or older who receive the basic pension. (However, for some programs, non-recipients of the basic pension aged 60 or older may also be eligible.) Individuals receiving National Basic Livelihood Security (living allowance), those with a long-term care grade (grades 1 to 5), and those enrolled in employee health insurance are not eligible to participate.
Depending on the program type, the participation period ranges from 10 to 12 months. For public interest activity programs, the activity allowance is 290,000 won per month for 30 hours. For competency utilization programs, it is 760,000 won per month for 60 hours (including weekly holiday allowance). For community project groups and employment placement types, wages and hours are determined according to the employment contract.

Those wishing to participate should bring their ID card, a resident registration certificate issued within the past three months (with the full resident registration number), a disability certificate (if applicable), and a certificate of employment support eligibility (if applicable), and visit either the Gyeonggi Textile Support Center (1215 Pyeonghwa-ro, Yangju City) or the Yangju Branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association (1569 Pyeonghwa-ro, Yangju City).
