Gijang County in Busan Named Top Institution for Urban Agriculture Promotion Policy Evaluation for Second Consecutive Year
Tangible Achievements Recognized in Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park Operations and Garden Allocations
Gijang County (Governor Jeong Jongbok) was selected as the top institution for the second consecutive year on November 19 in the "2025 Urban Agriculture Promotion Policy Evaluation" organized by Busan City.
The evaluation comprehensively assessed 16 districts and counties across 18 items in five categories: foundation for urban agriculture revitalization, policy integration, education and public relations, events, special initiatives, and best practices.
Gijang County received high marks for achieving tangible results across all areas of urban agriculture, including the completion of the Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park, allocation of children's, citizens', and community gardens, operation of educational programs, and hosting the Busan Urban Agriculture Festival.

Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "Through this evaluation, Gijang County's efforts to promote urban agriculture have been recognized externally," adding, "We will continue to develop a variety of educational programs to expand the foundation and enhance citizen satisfaction."
