View original imageThe event, held under the theme "K-School, Dreaming of the World," was attended by over 200 people, including Mayor Shin, Han Yangsu, Superintendent of Seongnam Office of Education, teachers and students from the four schools of the Wirye International Exchange Belt (Bokjeong Elementary School, Wirye Goun Elementary School, Wirye Hanbit Elementary School, and Wirye Hanbit High School), as well as parents.
In his congratulatory remarks, Mayor Shin stated, "It is only natural that Seongnam, a global hub for cutting-edge industries, actively promotes international exchanges in the field of education," and added, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Office of Education and school officials for organizing such a meaningful event."
He continued, "On November 5, Seongnam was recognized on the global stage by winning the grand prize in the mobility sector at the 2025 Smart City Expo World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain. As Seongnam is a city with such global competitiveness, the city will spare no effort to ensure that our students, who are the future leaders of Seongnam, can take pride and confidently shine on the world stage."
