Jipyung LLC Successfully Hosts Seminar on "Key Issues and Practical Responses in Offshore Wind Power Projects"
Jipyung Launched the "Climate Energy Center" Last July
Jipyung LLC announced on November 18 that it successfully hosted the seminar, "Key Issues and Practical Responses in Offshore Wind Power Projects."
This seminar, the first organized by the Climate Energy Center, was designed to share legal and policy issues as well as practical experiences. In July, Jipyung launched the "Climate Energy Center" and has since proactively addressed major issues related to energy transition, including renewable energy, carbon neutrality, climate finance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and environmental safety.
The first session featured Jipyung attorney Koh Sehun, head of the Climate Energy Center, who gave a presentation on "Local Acceptance Issues Stemming from Major Permits in Offshore Wind Power Projects." This was followed by Jipyung attorney Seo Dongcheon, who addressed "Key Issues in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Legal Due Diligence for Offshore Wind Power Projects." Jung Jongyoung, CEO of Samhae ENC, then presented on "Practical Aspects of Offshore Wind Power Projects." The third session was also led by Jung Jongyoung, CEO of Samhae ENC, focusing on the practical realities of offshore wind power projects.
In the fourth session, Jipyung attorney Kim Itaeh discussed "Project Financing (PF) for Offshore Wind Power," while Lee Juhui, Managing Partner at Linklaters’ Seoul office, also presented on the topic of project financing for offshore wind power. Finally, Jipyung attorney Kim Yonggil spoke about "Negotiating Turbine Supply Agreements in Offshore Wind Power Projects," emphasizing, "It is essential to understand the structure and key contents of the contract when negotiating turbine agreements."
