Gwangju Songjeong Station Lights Up... Transformed into "The Most Beautiful Station" on Winter Nights
Gwangju Songjeong Station will welcome citizens this winter with its brightest lights yet. Gwangsan District is transforming the station square into "the most beautiful station in December" with the lighting of a Christmas tree.
According to Gwangsan District on November 18, the district recently held a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and illuminated the "Santa Village" installations, which include gift boxes, Santa's house, and Rudolph's carriage. This is part of the "The Most Beautiful Station in December with the Christmas Cultural Festival" project, which aims to make Gwangju Songjeong Station a popular winter destination for citizens. The installations will remain in place until January next year.
On November 20, a festival featuring a parade, performances, and hands-on activities will take place. Around 100 people, including members of the Gwangsan District Council of Christian Denominations and local residents, participated in the lighting ceremony, which also included a pre-show and a fundraising campaign to help people get through the winter.
