Gwangju Class Festival Opens... Showcasing Classroom Innovation in One Place
An event where visitors can observe changes in classroom practices at a glance will be held. On November 17, the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced that the "3rd Gwangju Class Festival" will take place at the Education Training Institute from November 19 to 20. This annual event, which began in 2023, provides an opportunity for teachers to share real-life examples of classroom innovation.

View original imageThis year's theme is "Connecting the Future with Classes Embracing Diversity." The festival will be organized as an integrated class-sharing event, with participation from teachers at kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools. The event will begin with a lecture by actor Cha Inpyo, followed by a "Class Talk, Healing Rock" performance by Park Chunae, the lead teacher at Hyocheon Middle School. There will also be exhibition and experience booths prepared by teacher learning communities and research groups, as well as AI and digital future classroom experience programs.

The city’s education office expects the festival to become a platform for sharing a variety of practical cases, including edtech-based classes, process-oriented assessments, and concept-based inquiry learning. Educators who wish to participate can pre-register for keynote lectures, open classes, training sessions, and experience programs on the Gwangju Class Festival website.
