Mayor Bang Se-hwan Delivers Messages of Encouragement and Korean Rice Snacks
to Students Who Completed the College Entrance Exam
On November 17, Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province held the "34th Communication Relay: Youth Dreaming of Hope, Gwangju Sharing the Future" event at Gwangju Jungang High School, delivering messages of encouragement and support to third-year students who had completed the college entrance exam, as well as to other students.

원본보기 아이콘This event was held in conjunction with Nonghyup’s "Nongsim Cheonsim Movement," and was attended by Mayor Bang Se-hwan, Eom Beomsik, Head of the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of Nonghyup, Koo Pyeonghoe, Head of the Gwangju Branch of Nonghyup, as well as heads of local Nonghyup cooperatives and other officials.
On this day, the participants delivered 1,600 donuts and 800 bottles of Sikhye (a traditional Korean sweet rice drink) made from Korean rice, along with promotional materials for youth support programs, offering heartfelt encouragement to the students. They also joined efforts to promote the consumption of Korean rice and contributed to spreading the value of local agriculture.
Mayor Bang stated, "I hope that not only the students who have completed the college entrance exam but also all current students will start their day healthy and happy," adding, "Gwangju City will continue to support the dreams and challenges of our youth and shape the future together."
Meanwhile, this event marks the 34th edition of the "Communication Relay," and Gwangju City plans to continue on-site, community-focused communication with youth and various other groups of citizens in the future.
