Aroot: "NSRC Sees Surge in Orders from Global Semiconductor Companies"
NSRC, a semiconductor equipment specialist and subsidiary of Aroot, announced on November 17 that its order backlog surpassed 13.4 billion won as of October this year. This represents a 52% increase compared to the end of last year (8.8 billion won).
NSRC has been actively supplying a variety of equipment to global semiconductor manufacturers in China, Taiwan, and other countries. Following orders for conventional semiconductor lithography equipment from global companies, the company has recently signed a series of supply contracts for high value-added equipment for advanced processes, resulting in a significant expansion of its order backlog. If the equipment supply project, worth up to 25 billion won, signed with a Chinese semiconductor manufacturer, proceeds in earnest, additional results are expected.
With a surge in orders and technical service contracts since the second half of the year, NSRC has effectively entered a full-capacity operation mode. The 4 billion won lithography equipment advancement project ordered by a Taiwanese semiconductor company in June is scheduled for shipment after completion of work later this month. Of the total order backlog, more than 10 billion won is expected to be recognized as revenue in the first quarter of next year.
NSRC has significantly enhanced its technological capabilities by expanding its technical workforce in the second half of the year. Leveraging its differentiated technologies, the company is also conducting business activities related to technical services for major global semiconductor manufacturers in Germany, China, and Japan. NSRC plans to complete the setup of equipment for advanced process demonstrations at its headquarters in the fourth quarter and strengthen its sales efforts targeting client companies.
