'Bukhangang Serenade' to Be Held at Gapyeong Music Station 1939

The '2025 Bukhangang Serenade' concert, co-hosted by Gapyeong County and the Gapyeong Music Association and sponsored by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Cheongpyeong Power Plant, will be held on November 22 and 29 at the Music Station 1939 Music Hall.
This concert features a program that combines classical music and traditional Korean music, with conductor Koo Cheon, former artistic director of the National Chorus of Korea, taking the podium. The performance is divided into two acts, with different stages presented on November 22 and 29, respectively.
On November 22, the 'Korea Conductors Choir', composed of leading domestic choral conductors, will collaborate with the 'Nuove Musike Orchestra', and the Korean Baekse Cheongchun Choir, the oldest choir in Korea, will also take the stage.
On November 29, the traditional Korean music band 'Akdan Kwangchil', known for blending traditional music with modern sensibilities and leading the globalization of Korean music, will make a special appearance. Musical actor Murien, the Gapyeong County Women’s Choir, and the Gapyeong County Children’s Choir will also participate, filling the deepening autumn night with rich melodies.
Jeong Minhee, President of the Gapyeong Music Association, said, "Just as small streams come together to form a great river, we prepared this event with the hope that various musical genres will unite in harmony as one. I hope everyone can share the joy of art and a warm resonance through this concert."
Seo Taewon, Governor of Gapyeong County, stated, "We have invited conductor Koo Cheon, former artistic director of the National Chorus of Korea, to present a large-scale classical performance for the residents of Gapyeong. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the members of the Gapyeong Music Association, who are helping to quench the cultural thirst of our residents and contribute to the development of local culture."

Meanwhile, this concert was organized after the Gapyeong branch of the Korean Music Association was selected for a public contest project promoted by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Cheongpyeong Power Plant to foster local culture and the arts.
