This exhibition has been organized in collaboration with Gallery Houghton, and will feature works by nine artists, including Lee Ufan, known for his dot, line, and plane works, and Lee Seahyun, famous for his "Red Landscape" series.
Teum, which opened in September 2020, is a communication-oriented cultural space located on Gangnam-daero in Seoul. It has previously collaborated with various brands to present pop-up exhibitions, attracting Millennials & Gen Z with projects involving LG Twins, Lego Korea, and others.
To enhance the quality of the exhibition, LG Uplus partnered with Gallery Houghton, which has consistently collaborated with young artists. Both sides participated in every stage, from selecting the artworks to arranging the space, creating an exhibition structure that allows visitors to focus on the works in a comfortable atmosphere.
The exhibition, titled "The Economy of Creation: AI, Humanity, and Art," runs from November 14 to December 31. The participating artists are Lee Ufan, Lee Seahyun, Yang Jungwook, Park Seobo, Yoo Hwasoo, Yoon Seokwon, Jang Jinseung, Eddie Ram, and Park Hansam, for a total of nine artists.
The layout of each floor has also been differentiated. The first floor features works with an Oriental sensibility to create a calm ambiance, while the second floor and basement level 1 showcase works utilizing AI elements, emphasizing a modern touch.
Choi Yoonjung, the curator who planned the exhibition, said, "This project goes beyond simply displaying artworks; it is about expanding artistic thinking. By viewing the entire space as a single canvas, we aim to present new creative possibilities that transcend the boundaries between humanity, technology, and art."
