This scholarship project was planned by Mipyeong-dong Church as a commemorative event for the 25th anniversary of the parish's founding. It aims to provide opportunities for educationally marginalized youth who are missing out on learning due to difficult circumstances, as well as to discover and nurture talented individuals.
The "Scholarship Sponsorship Project" is funded by donations from parishioners of Mipyeong-dong Church. The Mipyeong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center will recommend scholarship recipients through a fair process and continuously provide learning support and case management, with the goal of offering educational opportunities for youth to realize their dreams.
Park Jaehong, Parish Priest of Mipyeong-dong Church, stated, "Education is a universal right that everyone should enjoy in the love of God. I hope this scholarship project will serve as a solid stepping stone for youth to discover and develop their talents."
Kim Jongwon, Director of the Mipyeong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, said, "The interest and support of the local community bring warm hope to young people," and added, "The center will also actively support children so that they can dream of their future and fully pursue those dreams."
