On the evening of November 13, Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, met with Ola K?llenius, Chairman of Mercedes-Benz, at Seungjiwon in Hannam-dong, Seoul, for a dinner where they held extensive discussions on future mobility technology cooperation, including automotive components. Industry observers note that this high-level communication with a global automaker marks a new phase in the collaboration between the two companies.
The dinner was also attended by Choi Joo-sun, President of Samsung SDI, and Christian Sobottka, President of Harman, along with other key executives from the automotive business. It is reported that they coordinated the scope of practical cooperation, focusing on specific areas such as batteries, automotive electronics, and vehicle semiconductors.
