Expanded Support to Music Last Year
"We Will Continue to Sponsor Culture and the Arts at the Group Level"
Hanse Yes24 Holdings announced on November 12 that it has been selected as an outstanding institution for cultural and artistic sponsorship in the “2025 Cultural and Artistic Sponsorship Certification Program,” hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Arts Council.
This recognition is the result of the group’s ongoing cultural and artistic sponsorship activities, centered around the Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation, which received high praise.

This year, a total of eight companies, including Hanse Yes24 Holdings, were selected as outstanding institutions.
Hanse Yes24 Holdings continues its group-wide support for culture and the arts through the Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation, which was established in 2014 with personal funds from Chairman Kim Dongnyeong. Over the past decade, the foundation has actively promoted cultural exchange between Korea and Southeast Asia, engaging in various artistic fields such as visual arts and literature.
In particular, the foundation organizes the “International Cultural Exchange Exhibition” to introduce diverse artworks from Asian countries to Korea, and publishes the “Southeast Asian Literature Series” to present modern and contemporary literature from Southeast Asia to Korean readers. Through these and other cultural exchange projects, the foundation has introduced the visual arts and modern literature of countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand to Korea, providing opportunities for direct experience of Southeast Asia’s cultural diversity.
The foundation also actively supports academic exchange and the building of talent networks between countries through scholarship programs and humanities research support projects. Since 2019, it has sponsored an international academic conference co-hosted by Ewha Womans University and Yale University. Beginning in 2022, it has provided annual research funding of 120 million won through the “Humanities Research Support Project” to revitalize the value of the humanities, including art history, philosophy, and literature, which have been marginalized. In 2024, the foundation expanded its sponsorship to the field of music by hosting the first-ever joint performance in Korea by world-class baritone Benjamin Appl and pianist Simon Lepper.
Kim Seokhwan, Vice Chairman of Hanse Yes24 Holdings, stated, “Hanse Yes24 Group actively supports the development of culture and the arts through the Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation,” adding, “We will continue to sponsor culture and the arts at the group level and contribute to society.”
