Changwon Special City Marks Successful Start to Korea Nuclear Power Exhibition
Nuclear Industry Stakeholders and Visitors Flock to the Event
Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province announced a successful start to the "2025 Korea Nuclear Power Exhibition," which opened on November 12 at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO) with an opening ceremony.

View original imageThis event is co-hosted by Changwon Special City, South Gyeongsang Province, and Korea Nuclear Power News, with key nuclear-related organizations such as Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, as well as representatives from leading nuclear power companies including Doosan Enerbility, and a large number of visitors in attendance, adding to the excitement.
On the first day, a variety of programs took place, including the opening ceremony, the Nuclear Power Exhibition, an export consultation meeting inviting overseas nuclear power buyers for small and medium-sized enterprises, and an integrated briefing session on the 2026 nuclear power company support project.
In particular, the "Nuclear Power Exhibition," which featured participation from 57 nuclear power companies and organizations nationwide, showcased the technological prowess and global competitiveness of K-Nuclear, including the innovative small modular reactor (I-SMR), captivating the attention of visitors.
Additionally, the export consultation meeting, which brought together more than 22 overseas nuclear power buyers from countries such as the United States, Germany, T?rkiye, India, the Philippines, the UAE, and Vietnam, received a strong response by providing domestic nuclear power companies with a foothold for entering overseas markets.
At the opening ceremony, Jang Geum-yong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, attended to encourage nuclear industry stakeholders, participated in major events, and emphasized the future vision for Changwon’s nuclear power industry.
