Busan Office of Education Creates 'Family Outing Map' for Parents of Young Children
Busan: A Citywide Learning Playground for Children and Families
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) has produced and distributed the "Busan Family Outing Map" for parents with young children, aiming to alleviate the burden of childcare and promote a family-centered leisure culture.
According to the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education on November 12, this guide was created as part of the pilot project for integrating early childhood education and care. It is designed to help parents of young children easily find and enjoy various natural, experiential, and cultural spaces throughout the region with their kids.
The "Busan Family Outing Map" is a customized guide that categorizes Busan's major attractions by region and theme, and is produced in a map format for easy use at home. In particular, to increase practical usability for parents, the map includes recommended themed courses such as ▲nature experience spaces, ▲cultural and arts venues, and ▲local landmarks.
The Office of Education plans to distribute the map to institutions related to early childhood, including kindergartens, daycare centers, the Early Childhood Education Promotion Center, and the Childcare Support Center in the Busan area. Additional copies will be provided as needed to ensure that all parents of young children can conveniently access the resource.
Kim Seokjun, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "Family outings during early childhood are greatly beneficial for a child's emotional development and social skills. I hope this map will help ease the burden of childcare for parents and serve as an opportunity to create precious memories with their children throughout Busan."
