The Democratic Party of Korea adopted a resolution emphasizing unity for victory in next year's local elections during the regional chairpersons' workshop held on November 10-11.
At the workshop held at Konjiam Resort in Docheok-myeon, Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi Province on November 11, the Democratic Party resolved to ensure the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration and a new leap forward for the Republic of Korea, restore livelihoods and eradicate rebellion, and achieve victory in the local elections to hold the incompetent and corrupt People Power Party accountable.
Park Jihye, chairperson for Uijeongbu-si Gap, and Seo Taekyung, chairperson for Sasang, who read the resolution, stated, "We will support the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration through legislation and budgeting, and by achieving an overwhelming victory in next year's local elections, we will judge the incompetent and corrupt local governments of the People Power Party. We will achieve a complete change of government, complete eradication of rebellion, complete normalization of the state, and fully open the door to genuine autonomy, decentralization, and balanced growth."
Party leader Jung Cheongrae said, "Over the course of this two-day, one-night event, our first, second, and third priorities are all to secure victory in the June 2025 local elections for the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration. As I always say, the party, government, and the National Assembly are one team." Floor leader Kim Byungki commented, "November 11 is known as Pepero Day, and with four number ones lined up, today is Democratic Party Day. Following our victories in the general and presidential elections, I am confident that the number one will once again become the symbol of the people's choice, the Democratic Party's number, and victory in the upcoming local elections."
