Policy Forum Held to Discuss Solutions for Sustainable Growth of Disabled Enterprises
Recommendations Include Raising Mandatory Public Procurement Ratio and Introducing Tax Benefits

The Disabled Enterprise Comprehensive Support Center announced on the 11th that the "Policy Forum for Innovation and Sustainable Development of Disabled Enterprises" was held at the Irum Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the 10th. This forum was co-hosted by Assemblyman Kim Sungwon of the People Power Party and Assemblywoman Kim Donga of the Democratic Party of Korea, and organized by the Disabled Enterprise Comprehensive Support Center.
As the first event of "Disabled Enterprise Week" (November 10-14), commemorating the 20th anniversary of the National Disabled Entrepreneurs Conference (November 13), the policy forum discussed concrete policy innovation measures for the sustainable growth of disabled enterprises.

View original imageJung Woogeun, Chairman of the Disabled Employment Stability Research Institute, delivered a keynote presentation on "Policy Innovation Measures for the Sustainable Development of Disabled Enterprises." He proposed practical support measures for funding and market access, such as raising the mandatory public procurement ratio, introducing tax benefits, and improving the efficiency of policy fund management. Measures to improve the governance of organizations supporting the activities of disabled enterprises were also discussed.
In the subsequent panel discussion, Park Maru, Chairman of the Disabled Enterprise Comprehensive Support Center, served as moderator. The panel included Professor Kim Heunggi of Hanshin University, Im Heungbin, CEO of Disabled Enterprise Buguk, Lee Hyekyung, Head of Policy Research at the Korea Disabled People’s Development Institute, and Park Kiseon, Research Fellow at the Korea Legislation Research Institute, who each proposed specific policy innovation measures.
