Mayor Jangwoo Lee Appoints Kwangchuk Lee as New President of Daejeon Transportation Corporation and Yongwon Kim as New President of Daejeon Tourism Organization

With these appointments, they will each lead their respective organizations for the next three years.

View original imageKwangchuk Lee, the new President of Daejeon Transportation Corporation, graduated from Seonggwang High School and Korea University. He previously served as President of the Korea Local Private Broadcasting Association, President of TJB (Daejeon Broadcasting), and as a Distinguished Professor at Paichai University.
Yongwon Kim, the new President of Daejeon Tourism Organization, graduated from Namdaejeon High School and Daejeon University. He has held positions as Director of the Video Department at EBS (Educational Broadcasting System) and TJB (Daejeon Broadcasting), and served as Executive Director of Daejeon Tourism Organization.
The new presidents were selected through an open recruitment process and were deemed suitable during a personnel hearing by the Daejeon City Council, which verified their integrity, values, sense of public duty, and capabilities for the role.
Mayor Jangwoo Lee asked Kwangchuk Lee, the new president, to "leverage his extensive insight and external network accumulated in the media sector to contribute to strengthening competitiveness and improving management, especially in the development of new transportation systems such as the three-section articulated bus."

He also requested that Yongwon Kim, the new president, "use the experience in the tourism industry gained as Executive Director of the Tourism Organization to further promote Daejeon's tourism as a city full of excitement."
