Contending for Victory in Round 1 of the Daebo Housedi Championship
Second Place at the Choidoongkyu Cup Maeil Business Amateur Golf Championship
An amateur sensation swept through the final tournament.
On November 7, at Seowon Hills Country Club in Paju, Gyeonggi Province (par 72, 6,556 yards), Kim Gyubin of Haksan Girls’ High School carded a 4-under-par 68 in the first round of the Daebo Housedi Championship-the final event of the 2025 season on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, with a total prize fund of 1 billion won-emerging as a contender for the title.

She gained momentum with a shot eagle on the 11th hole (par 5) and a birdie on the 13th hole (par 4), then briefly paused with a bogey on the 14th hole (par 3). She regained her rhythm by shaving a stroke off on the 16th hole (par 3), and in the latter half, she demonstrated her strength by making back-to-back birdies on the 1st and 2nd holes. However, a bogey on the 8th hole (par 5) was a slight disappointment. Her precise iron shots stood out, as she achieved a greens-in-regulation rate of 94.44%.
