Sungju County Wins 'Grand Prize' in 2025 Red Cross Fundraising... Selected as Excellent Institution for Five Consecutive Years
Sungju County announced on November 7 that it received the "Grand Prize" for outstanding performance in the 2025 Red Cross membership fee fundraising campaign at the Gyeongbuk Branch Annual Conference, held in celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Korean Red Cross.
The Gyeongbuk Branch of the Korean Red Cross selects six institutions out of 22 cities and counties in North Gyeongsang Province with the best fundraising results compared to their targets, awarding them as Grand Prize, Excellence, and Encouragement. Among them, Sungju County was selected as the top institution on November 5.
In particular, Sungju County achieved a high fundraising rate of 166% compared to its target amount, earning recognition as an excellent fundraising institution for the Red Cross membership fee for five consecutive years.
This achievement is attributed to effective promotional activities, active fundraising efforts by village heads, the Red Cross Volunteer Society, local corporations, and organizations, as well as the enthusiastic participation of county residents.
