View original imageAn earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 occurred at around 9:44 a.m. on November 7, 2025, in the sea area 36 kilometers south-southwest of Tongyeong City, Gyeongsangnam-do.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration and the Gyeongsangnam-do Fire Headquarters, the earthquake's epicenter was at latitude 34.55 degrees and longitude 128.30 degrees, with a depth of 8 kilometers.
The maximum intensity recorded was II (2) in Gyeongsangnam-do and Busan.
This level of intensity is only perceptible to a few people in quiet conditions or on the upper floors of buildings.
No reports of feeling the earthquake or any damage were received within Gyeongsangnam-do.
